ABOUT AKTIV

Aktiv is the first product of Interlude, it is a rehab software focused on a whole new experience. The advantage that we offer consists of focusing on the patient’s point of view, showing them their progress in real time, in a virtual environment that accelerates the rehab process and makes it more fun. This software shows results for everyone to understand, making it not only accessible but portable. Also, our product stands out in the market by exclusively requiring a computer and a Kinect sensor.

PROBLEM

There are more than 10 million children in the world who suffer from a kind of cerebral palsy (Hemi-paretic), and their rehab is not always effective. Nowadays, virtual rehab software is present, but not accepted at all. The software in this area lacks an interface directly connected to the user experience. Even though virtual experiences get more and more realistic, their lack of humanity is making the users more frustrated.

OPPORTUNITY

The main difference between our competitors and our software is that we show the users their real progress through our interface. The rehab goals and their completion are visible to the children, in a virtual environment.

Aktiv can be present in every environment, from a patient’s house, to a room in a specialized center or hospital. For those who want to complete their rehab process in their living room instead of going to a specialized center. For rehabcenters and hospitals, this is an opportunity to invest in a low-cost, multiple tool that really shows the children their progress through the interface, and through design and charts to their therapists and supervisors
